One of "Capt. Eddie" Kurdziel's major supporters during his Firefly restoration, retired RAAF mechanic Kevin Arditto from Lara, Australia, actually serviced the aircraft more than 30 years ago. In researching his aircraft's background and records, Eddie discovered that Kevin had worked on WB518 between 1961 and 1966, during the last years that it was in service.
